Are you able to use Bergersin CA? I thought the whole state was non toxic.I have a 6.5 creedmoor, I was thinking about getting a 7 PRC or 300 PRC. In California for deer and bear my 127gr Barnes LRX should be enough. The extra umph with this going to peak + will be nice. I am interested in the peak+ Berger 156 and the other 155 grain coming out also. Curious to see what folks thoughts were on using those two with elk. I know shot placement and velocity is key. I don’t plan on shooting past 300-400 yards. I know I am pretty dialed in at 300.
I am interested in using it on elk out of state potentially with the 155-156. I already like shooting the 120 cx Hornady superformance and the Barnes LRX 127 gr currently in California. I was just a little worried I would need to buy another rifle. I really do like my 6.5 thoughAre you able to use Bergersin CA? I thought the whole state was non toxic.
Gotcha. Tbh i dont think the 6.5 CM is the best around Cartridge but i wouldn't worry about buying a different gun for elk. 6.5 cm will kill them just fine.I am interested in using it on elk out of state potentially with the 155-156. I would agree. It’s just very versatile for my needs. Realistically I want a 300 PRC or 7mm backcountry but I can get that down the road and put it on the back burner for nowGotcha. Don't get me wrong I'm all for buying another gun in fact I may need to slow down. I think my gun aquirements have kept me from buying more tags in adjacent states.I would agree. Yeah I mean I’d like to get out there a little more first. I’m still pretty greenDon't get me wrong I'm all for buying another gun in fact I may need to slow down. I think my gun aquirements have kept me from buying more tags in adjacent states.
