2026 Winter Olympics

Weird pattern i noticed on team medals. Bronze winners and gold winners look hapoy, silver look pissed.

I get it you just lost your last game, but you got a silver in the olympics

Yeah, Canada losing to the US in hockey is never going to be an acceptable outcome for those players.

In case anyone was keeping track... that's 2 out of 3 over the past 2 years of best on best play.

The sad thing is kids these days will never know the thrill of athletic rivaly that leads to having two morons smack Nancy Kerrigan in the knee with a pipe.

Now we just get trans bunnies yelling in Spanish about something to do with Ricky Martin.
This is how it starts. The next thing you know you are pissing people off saying the Veep has "Gay eyes".

Silver has always been first losers. That's just how it is, you don't win a silver medal in Hockey, you lose for silver.

There's two reasons why: the current political climate and the fact that Canada actually outplayed the US for most of the game. Hellebuyck played the best hockey out of both teams and kept those pucks out of the net. That's not to say USA didn't play good hockey, they most certainly did, however Canada dominated on the ice but Hellebuyck denied them shot after shot after shot! Looking forward to watching him play again in Winnipeg next time I'm in town!

There's also the general feeling that 3v3 in OT is BS. Teams play cohesively 5v5 for 60 minutes worth of hockey only to end it on speed and not necessarily cohesion. Hard loss for sure and even harder loss for Crosby, he chose to not take any chances and step aside to let McDavid wear the big C for what was likely his last Olympics, I'm sure this one will eat at him the most!

That's just hockey though. How many games did Dominik Hasek steal for a mediocre Sabres team? For basically the entirety of MN wild existence until the Kaprizov/Boldy Era they had a good group of "try hards" that played good as a unit and forechecked their asses off, but they didn't have any finishers who score. Understand your point and why it would make things sting a bit more. Did you see that Mackinnon was the only player on team Canada who had a negative +/-? That was a surprising stat.

I get folks disdain for 3v3 and would like NHL playoff format for knockout and medal rounds but these guys play 3v3 like 20 games a year in the NHL so its not like it's foreign to them.

Sucks for Crosby. Absolute legend in how he plays and carries himself on and off the ice.
