And one of the best pictures of all: my newest grandson Jesse at his first duck camp the night before the opener Sept 27 at age 3 months. His mom has been in duck camp each year since she was born in 1979.

In SW Montana where I hunt the number of golden eyes has increased over the past few years, especially after it gets cold and things freeze up like it did this fall.

Yeah, I personally have eaten this season over 50 meals with duck as the entree and served a bunch more to my grandsons. I have about 15 pounds in the freezer that I'm going to grind into breakfast sausage over Memorial day when I travel to my brother's house in Meeteetse, WY to play baseball. He has all the meat processing equipment.
