I don't even know where to start...last week was great hunting! Spent 3 days hunting and filled my tags the first 2!

The sun was out so the muley bucks were in the shade of the rocks during mid-day. Elk were screaming from sunrise to sunset.

I ended up shooting my muley at 7 feet after passing him up at 5 yards earlier in the same day. I stalked him in his bed while he was bedded next to some rocks and shot him from straight above. He went 25 yards and tipped over. The 3 kickers on his left beam sealed the deal for me. Saw lots of bucks altogether.

Hunted elk morning and evenings. Saw lots of bulls, passed up quite a few. Ended up shooting my bull at 10 yards first set up one morning. Was calling in a 6 point for a friend and this guy ran in from the side, bugling and glunking and about ran me over. I cow called and stopped him and sent an arrow through him. He went about 80 yards and tipped over too.

I got tons of GoPro video and HDD video. Got video of a 350"+ bull at less than 20 yards, screaming and hooking a cow, the evening I shot my smaller bull. O-well...next year.

I could write a book about the 3 days but am going to keep it short. My gf watched me stalk and shoot my deer and I was hunting with my dad and a few friends when I shot my elk. It doesn't get much better than that!

My muley is a main frame 4x4 with brows. He also has 3 kickers on his left beam. If it had not been for the 'junk', he'd still be alive today. I was lucky enough to find him a second time after stalking him the first time and passing on him. It was only after reviewing the video that my gf and I saw that he had the 3 stickers on his left side (I stalked him to within 5 yards, but from his right side and couldn't see them). I shot him at 7 feet from the top of the rocks behind him/us in the pictures.

I hauled him down the hill a few hundred yards to the truck with the game cart because it was so dry out that I chose not to drive up to him.

My bull is a 5x6. When he was coming in fast, both my friend and I thought he was a small 6. The other 6 point that I was calling in was just over the ridge and to the left in the first picture. This bull came in from high right in the picture and I shot him from the clump of trees at the tip of his right beam. The arrow passed through and went about 15 yards down the hill, while he only went about 80 yards. There were at least 10-12 bulls bugling all around us, and, this is only my story from that day!

We were able to get my truck to him and loaded him whole. Then we took him back to the meat house and hung him in the cooler, and processed him the next day.

The only problem I see with your season, it was too short. Helluva problem to have. Congrats.

I still have my antelope tag to fill. But to be honest, I like tagging out early (sometimes). Now I can spend the remainder of archery and all of rifle season helping friends and family with their hunts.

You lucky m'fer! Nice work man. I spent 9 days covering as much ground as possible and they weren't bugling or responding to calls at all. That's awesome to see that much action. Great job!

Thanks. You really should've called me when you were out...at least had a beer for old times.
