I have always had the elusive monkey on my back of not finding elk sheds. Well either it took me breaking into archery elk hunting or luck just happened upon me this year. The weird thing about finding them, was I didn't find any until the rifle opener for deer started on October 10th. I find it interesting that I only found 1 shed that is a lefty, the rest were right antlers.
The white 6 was the first one found after a friends cousin shot his first buck. I walked off the hill to meet them at the deer and saw it in a lava flow.
The small brown 6 was found on an old logging road, where a cow elk barked at my wife during her elk hunt.
The big brown 6 was found on a elk trail above a big saddle, while deer hunting last week.
The 2 chalky white ones were found in a draw with some other old elk bones about 20 yards apart. Not sure if they are from the same elk or not.
