I had the tag in 22 and I shot the first one I seen and it wasn’t a bad 6x5, but what a horrible year. Between everyone saying they couldn’t find much and just the bad weather. I’m glad I wasn’t planning on holding out. -

I bought a 300 prc for my special draw elk permit. Iv only shot it at the range but it is one of my nicest shooting rifles. My niece also loves it she shoots it out to 650 yards no problem- king13

410 elk are killing me,,,,,
I hunted that a few years back for a cow. The only elk we seen was a bull in a guys side by side, my brother got lucky the last cow tag he had there. We found a small group of cows over the first hill we looked and he got one. -

I just bought the hells canyon in a 300 prc and love it. I put the recoil hawg break on it and its loud but makes it amazing to shoot. Good luck I drew my first elk permit this year to in Montana. Sense the day I drew i have been putting together everything I need. I even bought a 300 prc for it. I’ve always wanted the caliber this was just the push I needed to get it.
