What are your goals for DEER this year?
Top priority will be trying to get my ten year old son on his first deer. They just opened a "Youth" doe season in the unit I got drawn for Grizz, so I don't think that will be too much of a challenge. He takes after his ol man though, so he may pass hoping to find a big ol' muley buck for his... -

Not the Biggest one I seen.......
Just finished up the season yesterday. Got to eat tag soup this year. Not because I didn't see some incredible bucks, but because I set some goals for myself and the Big 'uns needed to be extra BIG this year. Ended the season off feeling great though. Wolves?
Shedyoda, To tell ya the truth, most big bucks bail out of the alpine within the first 2 weeks of Sept around here. Some years there isn't any signifcant snow until mid to late Oct yet there are no deer in the highcountry. My theory is has alot to do with frost. Frost kills out that lush alpine... -

Shedyoda, Chances are the piece of high country you were hunting experience a phenomenon called "Migration". :D :D Wolves are very common in many of my muley hidey holes. The deer don't seem to be pushed around by them. Rather when the wolves are hunting hard, the deer are really skittish... -

1st Muley Cam Results
Was able to capture one MONSTER that Moosie would love to pull the pin on. :D :D Looks like I still need to make some adjustments. Seems like I must have it pointing too high and whatever is setting it off isn't being captured in the frame. Here's what most of the pics look like.
