I just sent my 7-08 to my super secret gunsmith in western MT for a tummy tuck, facelift, and front end augmentation.
Over the past 3 years I’ve sent him around a dozen of my guns for odds and end work and recently my .223 - on which he did some real voodoo magic.
When I get it back - I’ll share some details of this guys work. First plan will be trying the 162eldm. It’ll be an ultra light 700, 20” threaded 9 twist lilja, edge stock, Hawkins oberndorf with extended Wyatt box. He’s going to reinforce the Hawkins 30moa ring attachment and maybe put an arca rail to the stock. If the .223 was any foreshadowing - I predict this thing will be really great. It’s got a rifle basix trigger that I like almost as much as the TT diamond. It will inherit the suppressor that’s currently on my 6.5prc, as that rifle is next in line for this guys magic touch.
