Area 69

Pretty Swede
Nice rifle! I bet it will be a great shooter, I like the checkered butt and personally wouldn't think of sawing it off and adding a pad. I have a soft spot for the Husqvarna guns and have a 640 in 9,3x62 that I really love. -
.22LR bolt-action
Another CZ fanboy here, I have the 457 Varmint and it is a wonderfully accurate rifle, a bit heavy for toting around the squirrel woods but the way it shoots makes up for the extra weight. -
Campground near Casper
I have camped several times at Alcova, nice area, also have stayed at the KOA at Barr Nunn, showers and a store but otherwise I liked Alcova better. -

Longest shot...?
Longest bow shot was 47 yards on a whitetail doe. I have switched back to stickbows now so I won't take a shot over about 20 yards. Rifle 265 yards pronghorn, pistol 203 yards pronghorn. I don't know about the download, but you can use the chip in any compatible GPS you want to. I didn't have to specify a GPS unit when I registered mine. Bob- BobT

Combating Point Creep
Personally, I despise any sort of points system, at 53 I probably fit into the "old whiner" category to some of you young punks. I think the only fair way to issue limited tags is a true random draw. Everyone has an equal chance that way, as long as it is a true random draw. I feel the same way...- BobT

I don't recall the exact model but about 8 or 9 years ago I found a decked out Bear bow with a quiver full of arrows. It wasn't top of the line stuff but all upper end, sights, quiver, arrows. Reloading Question
Most of the quoted velocities you see in the manuals are corrected to actual muzzle velocity. If you place your chronograph 15 feet from the muzzle for instance, and don't correct to actual MV that will account for part of the difference. 300 WSM handloads
I'm using: IMR 4831sc Fed 215 Nosler 165 or 180 BT W-W brass Shooting right around MOA with either bullet, my chronograph is out for repair so I can't give velocity. I haven't really done much load development since I intend to re-barrel to 7mm WSM in the near future. Bob
