Your favorite Cover Song of all time

This 1965 cover skyrocketed for these young 17 and 18 year olds at the time. The song became so iconic that it’s now the official rock song of Ohio, and Ohio State fans scream it at football games every year. The band recorded it in just one take, they didn’t even know it would be a massive hit.

Born August 11, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio to a family of Russian Jewish immigrants. A musical prodigy, he started entertaining his parents at age two with impressions of Jimmy Durante and Johnnie Ray. By six, he was taking violin lessons from his aunt, a Cleveland Orchestra musician, and at eleven he was playing piano and dreaming of writing songs. The arrival of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones inspired him to pick up guitar at 15, teaching himself from a Beatles chord book.He honed his craft in Cleveland bands, including Cyrus Erie, before forming the Raspberries, writing and singing hits like “Go All the Way.” As a solo artist, he became a global sensation with “All by Myself”, famously based on Rachmaninoff, and continued to score hits for decades, including “Hungry Eyes” and “Make Me Lose Control.”Toured with Ringo Starr, and in 2004 reunited the Raspberries for sold-out shows nearly 30 years after their heyday

Released in 1970 "Oye Como Va" became this band's most recognizable hit. The title means "Listen to How It Goes" in Spanish. The song is a cover, but this band's version infused it with rock, blues, and psychedelic sounds, making it a cross-genre sensation.

maybe. The algo's are over running my feed with all of this. I'm sharing about 20% of it.
Not sure how much anyone want to look at. I've been trying to pick out the more interesting stuff.
Then there's the band witdth.....

This was originally a Prince song, and I am a big Prince fan, but possibly the whole injured soul/mental illness in her led to this stirring rendition.

I didn't realize this was a cover, but again, better than the original.....

This is the grandaddy of them all for me ......
