I'll try to make a hunting comparison.
Much like elk in Montana congregating on private lands during and after hunting seasons because of inadequate habitat and extreme lengths of seasons. I don't think issuing more shoulder season tags or longer seasons will fix the issue. You have to make it so Elk don't leave public land and find the sanctuary they currently have on private land.
I don't think building a wall, separating children from parents, or throwing twice as many border patrol agents at the southern border will fix the issue. There seems to be no shortage of migrants following right behind their footsteps. I also don't believe it's our responsibility to make Mexico a worthy place to live but we're going to be spending money one way or the other.
That said, a 450k reparation payment is utter stupidity.

I'd say the simple solution would be to take away the incentive for coming here illegally....jobs, free education, healthcare, welfare, etc...

Make the immigration process simple, so anybody who wants to come here, that has something positive to contribute to our country can come. Designate the cartels that smuggle narcotics, and take advantage of immigrants by smuggling them, holding them ransom, taking their money and leaving them for dead in the desert, abusing and raping immigrant women, as terrorist groups. Capture their leaders, convict them, and execute them or give them life prison sentences. The ones that cannot be safely captured, should be killed by drone strikes.

Democrats whip Border Patrol horsemen with calls for public execution, eh, followed by an integrity based investigation??? Who with the OPR or OIG want to be tapped for that investigation with the Harris Biden ticket glaring for them to use our U.S. Border Patrol as the whipping child to deter ILLEGALS from entering our country.
Again, it says volumes when Democrats Congress yappers yap away yet do not fix our f-up Immigration laws. Instead of adding to and convoluting - a re-build is necessary.

There are laws and that seems to be your problem. When a person illegally enters the US they can make a claim they need asylum. Then they get to make that case to a judge, who determines the legitimacy of the claim. The previous admistration took the approach of inflicting emotional trauma by separating kids from parents, assuming that “word would get out” and
deter other people from doing the same. Stupid, of course, because staying meant death, which is why they risked death to get here. The current administration has taken the approach to keep families together but send them back. Equally suspect from legal perspective, but certainly more humane. You can’t just label Dems or Repubs and assign a judgement on policy. It is incredibly complicated. Reforms need to be made but then they argue over who gets credit. This is the problem= the inability to vote for something that is net positive because of the perception you are working with the other side.
I’m afraid we are witnessing the death of democracy.

I’ve gathered enough from what you have posted we won’t see eye to eye. Put a few adults in the room and things could be sorted out quite quickly. That goes for wildlife management as well.
