Wyoming to change app dates????

Sounds like they're considering moving the der/antelope application dates to coincide with residents. No more 3.5 month wait periods to kow if you drew or not.....................
If you have an opinion on the matter, let em hear it.

The anticipation for Wyoming antelope is killing me as I look at the last of my 2013 antelope in the freezer

I wish they would move the resident up to the NR then move up the drawing dates. Find out sooner rather than later and do more planning.

Thats not going to happen.

The biologists make their final recommendations after all the surveys (air, ground, etc.) are completed. Typically the surveys are done on winter range.

Then theres the spring weather, which hammers antelope and deer. The biologists like to get a handle on winter/spring mortality as late as they can to adjust quotas accordingly.

Final commission meeting is held at the end of April to finalize quotas.

I think its more important that the biologists get it right with quotas and doings what best for the herds, rather than trying to accommodate hunter planning.
