Myself and another hunt talker are planning on heading to Wyoming for a spring bear hunt this year. This would be our first bear hunt and I was wondering if anybody could point us in the right directiion as far as what part of the state would give us the best chance of a successful hunt?
I am not asking for your honey holes/specific drainage location or basic information that is readily available on Wyoming G+F website like many newbies on HT.
The research I have done looks like the highest concentration of bears are around Yellowstone/Teton NP and the Bighorns being second. We were hoping to hunt Casper mountain, Snowy Range, or Sierra Madre to save some drive time but that may be a mistake. Please shoot me a PM. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for your time.
