sorry to hit up an old thread guys but i cannot figure out how much my son’s youth cow elk tag will cost. if im using points on a full price cow elk tag how much is it and how much is it for a reduced price draw? its just not clear because some things i read say that if he applies in the special draw as a youth for a full price cow tag then its $1965???? If i apply him for a bull tag as a youth what would that cost in regular or special draw?
Can anyone help me out? i’m thinking about applying him for a couple tags in january and i’m just not sure what they will cost

There is no guarantee that things will stay the same in Wyo or any other state. If Wyo ever converted to 90/10 it will take twice the years for nonres to draw limited tags. Also, with the Wyo nonres landowner limited draw system.....every limited tag in a unit could potentially go to nonres landowners before the public drawing even takes place.

What happens if Wyo outfitters get set aside tags or landowners suddenly take a chunk of tags that they can sell and make a profit? It will mean it takes even longer for nonres to draw tags in the public draw.

You can imagine what draw odds will look like for nonres if 90/10 ever happens for elk, deer, and antelope and nonres landowners continue to buy up private land so they can purchase nonres landowner tags and hunt Wyo every year.
