I was super excited to have another Wyoming elk tag in my pocket this year. Both my boys had tags last year and we had a great hunt. I decided to try a different area this year. We backpacked in several miles the day before the opener to an area I had scouted this Summer. Worked like a charm. Opening morning we heard bugling below us. About 30 minutes later this bull came out with his cows and I couldn't pass him up. My only disappointment with Wyoming elk hunts is they never seem to last long enough.

Love it man! Congratulations! We hunted Wyoming two years ago for pronghorn and saw some really nice bulls on the rolling plains. Building elk points now to hopefully go back after them years down the road haha

Thanks, I'm trying to figure out what unit to burn them in. I want to do archery and if don't connect switch to rifle as it will be ONCE in a lifetime hunt as my age.
