Had one tag in my pocket and just a few days to hunt. Drove up to Wyoming Saturday and spent Sunday visiting family and friends. Monday met a few friends in Laramie and headed out. Spent the morning glassing and finally a few turned up out of the hills.
Was able to hunt public and adjacent private, Elk were on both. It's was surprisingly difficult to get a good wind and within a comfortable range with this many eyes around, found them around noon and it took until close to 4 p.m. to seal the deal. Wyoming is such an awesome place!
