Morning Fella’s,

Time to get going on this MT 340 elk hunt. I haven’t killed an elk in 25 years (holy hell). When I moved from Montana at 23 I had killed 5… Family, work and life…

My brother and I have both drawn tags and it’s time to get prepping. Any PM’s are appreciated. I will dive into e-scouting tonight, and am headed to MT on Sunday. We will be doing our usual family reunion at Yellowstone Hot Springs, then the 3rd and 4th in Butte, and then it’s time to put boots on the ground for a few days. I can’t wait.

I also bout some 168 grain Nosler Accubonds for my 300, and will start developing a round. I will document here.

I had elbow surgery recently and my surgeon said no bow for now. I’m no Remi Warren, and my teeth would explode out of my face. Depending on rehab this may change.

I'd call the FWP biologist for that area as a starting point. I've gotten some pretty good info from them in the past.
