Wyoming Area 7

Of course it is and I know that. They don't make it easy to tell where in area that private land is. It's not valid in the whole area like a type 6 tag is. I believe it is valid in the part of area 29 which is west of I-25 which leaves me SOL. Was just wanting to see something from WGFD to confirm it. Even at that there are a measly 50 tags.

Entire unit unless it says otherwise.

I guess my recollection of the past isn't what it used to be. I do have a 2017 booklet. What is now a type 7 used to be a type 6, and in 2017 type 7 was to a part of area 29 south and west of I-25. Ah well.

It just seems to me that in the interest of simplicity a type shouldn't be restricted one year and unrestricted the next. Use a different type number.

If wgfd doesn't lay it out clear enough I'd hate to see someone try to navigate literally any other western states website. All other states should use that as a template imo.
I've found their search function to be less than adequate. It almost never takes me to the place that tells me what I want to know

Don't over think it, just read the regulations. When a license type is restricted it will tell you, for instance:

22 6 Sep. 1 Sep. 30 150 Doe or fawn valid on private land north of Crazy Woman Creek

If it doesn't give a restriction in the regulations its good for the entire area. If you're still confused call the local office:

I'm good now thanks.

I wasn't meaning to let one small itsy bitsy section be an indictment of the entire website.
