I thought I had to be sick since my tag had been open since the 15th and I hadn't hunted. I told my wife I was going stir crazy and was taking the bow to look for a goat but definitely didn't think I would shoot one. I had one failed 1.5 mile stalk due to wind right off the bat. After that I went to another spot and walked 4.5-5 miles and saw nothing but a group of pronghorn doe 800 yards away running away from me. As a last ditch effort I drove down the road to see what I found for the next day. I only saw one buck and he made the mistake of not running after he got over the hill and out of sight. Not the biggest goat but my first with a bow and the first tag of the season punched. 43 yards shot, slick trick 125 magnum. He ran 25ish yards before expiring.

Cool
the unit i live in has declining numbers over the last 3 or so years
have you noticed the same?
Numbers are good around my house but they definitely seem lower up north than they used to be. May just be my observation because I don't spend a lot of time up there anymore.
