I'm a long-time lurker that hasn't posted here, but thought I'd take a second to thank Big Fin and others for sharing their insights and experience on the forums. I just got back from central Wyoming on my first DIY public land hunt and brought back a great (to me!) pronghorn.

I scouted for a 1.5 days and put a herd to bed the night before opening day. From my scouting, this herd looked to have one of the better bucks that I had seen throughout the unit. I put my plan into place and had this buck down before 8 am on opening day!

As an adult onset hunter trying to catch up on 20+ years of missed experience, I can't thank Randy enough for the knowledge and passion he shares through his videos and podcasts. I had never been to Wyoming before, let alone pronghorn hunting. With some deliberate planning with GoHunt, OnXMaps, and Google Earth, I was able to successfully navigate the tag applications and draws and harvest an animal on public land in a "difficult access" unit. Thanks Randy!!
