WTB: 1000 yard rifle and scope

Drew an elk tag that might require long shots. I need a rifle that will hold 0.5 MOA to 1000 yards. I hear 6.5 PRC is good. Budget is $1000. Let me know what you have.

I got you! Get the 6.5 Creedmoor the PRC will explode elk within 1200 yards...get Tikka then for the bullets get the ones that say Target because they're more accurate. Also one of the fancy Vortex Diamondback Tacticals with the knobs be sure to mount it on the Extra High rings for clearance. Finally shoot like 5 bullets a week before the season at a paper plate with a permanent marker dot. After that the box of ammo will tell you how high to aim

My Brockelmash’s CDS will cypher 6/10ths of your spec. Never considered feeding the monkey at a thousand yards. I’ll even drive it to ‘Arkansas’

A .270 will bounce off a hog so I’m scared a Creedmore is insufficient.
