my son Jarrod has been taking out warriors who have come into Walter Reed. This has been happening through people who know us. Now it seems we will be getting on a list. Jarrods getting an appointment with the assistant Director. We are hoping this goes well. We have a couple properties that is wheelchair friendly and only 12 miles from the hospital.
The 1st young man Jarrod took out was his age. He had been seriously wounded was close to ending his 2 year stay at the hospital. He asked me how many deer could he shoot. I asked him; how many arrows did you bring ? He said 3. I told him you can shoot 3 :) which he did. We butchered the deer , wrapped it up for him. He so thankful. Told us this meat will feed him and his daughter and wife all winter when he get home. What an honor I felt to be able to serve him. Definitely a memory moment for me.

John you know Walter Reed has been moved over to NIH in Bethesda. I to spent a few days their. Not my favorite place back in the early 70's, it was close to home to use when needed.

As a recipient of a hunt from a "hunts for vets" program I offer a hardy congratulations and thanks as well. For many of us the woods are one of the few "safe" places.

I've always offered hunts to kids wanting to learn and friends from out of town.
Just need to give me a little notice and I'll provide a hunt. Most are doe hunts just because we have so many , all are bow hunts.
