It does in some instances. Wisconsin hunters and trappers killed 216 in 3 days during the open season in 2021. I understand the mountain west is different, but hunting can have an impact.

It's not making a dent at all here in some places.

From what I saw before Idaho made some season changes, hunting kept the population stable. The new season changes and Wildlife Services had a slight reduction last time I checked. Wolves are smart and hard to hunt. Wildlife Services likes to collar one and then strike later.

Where did I say that? The only time I tried to kill a wolf was in Minnesota's one season where I was drawn for a license. Now what the locals in Northern Minnesota said doesn't pertain to what I do!

The whole ride to Colorado the wolves got shown the video Homeward bound by the Biologists. The theory is that they picked up on the hunt and head N thru Wyoming….

Wolves are not going to charge you. The wolves I’ve seen, and it’s been quite a few, are moving away from humans once they know the humans are nearby.

I know that, hunting in AK the couple wolves I saw were running away.

I talked with some private land owners west of Driggs, Idaho and the they said wolves have moved in to their property the last couple of years. The gentleman I talked with said that it affected his cattle and the elk migration into the Teton Valley.
