Will Congress intervene to stop wolf reintro?

That "whack job" has not been publicly shunned by the state GOP, nor have his grossly inappropriate comments been called out by the party. He still speaks at their functions and hosts fundraisers for candidates. GOP figures still participate in his podcasts. The failure to denounce his positions publicly amounts to tacit acceptance of them.
As well they should have nothing to do with him... at this point there might as well not be a GOP in most of Colorado, effectively. If you want to, you can go all through the super majority in the state house and find all sorts of insanity in the other side.... and THEY have been endorsed by the Dems, elected and ARE power. Look at the bills that get floated EVERY session for examples. That side/those voters passed abortion up to BIRTH ..... there is nothing more horrendous or grotesque than destruction of innocent children and they CELEBRATE this "right" every chance they get in party like atmosphere.... that gives them zero room to talk about violence or morality at all, ever. Thankfully we have reasonable local politics here in the Springs (as evidenced by our Independent mayor).

What place does debate of women's right to choose their reproductive life have on HT?

I think you’re missing my point. It’s not that there are kooks on only one side. It’s that if the GOP is to ever win a statewide election again, they need to clean up their own party and run solid, moderate candidates.

When speaking about violence or the threat of, something that takes over a million lives a year is PRETTY telling when defining the degree of tolerance for violence. That is a pretty foundational thing. I know you are good with it, and that is your thing. I never will be, and especially in context with any other discussion about threats or violence. BTW, with plethora choices in birth control readily available AND available free, the "choices" should be made BEFORE making a life. The infinitesimally small amounts of pregnancies resulting from SA or that endanger the life of the mother are a matter that, while I still find it deplorable, are reasonable to talk about.

Agreed. I feel a total overhaul of the idea of "party" is in order. A much more candidate/stance/issue based group of options would be nice.
