What is she using for a rifle? I'll be looking for a rifle for my old lady here soon and was wondering what anyone would recommend...she's kind of a wuss...lol

John, 1st make sure it fits ! There are some gentler rounds out there, that work Far better than they are supposed to. I had a friend, down in Fla, whose wife used a youth model 22/250. LOL....she had so many straight 1 shot kills it was staggering ! Maybe a 250 /3000.

My wife hunts whitetails alot and she shoots the `ol trusty Ruger 25-06. Drops them in their tracks, and recoil is light.

She shoots a plain vanilla Remington 700 ADL in .270 throwing out 150 grain Nosler Partitions. Made a wicked mess inside before blowing out the other side

I'll recommend what I always do...6.5x55 and .257 R in that order. Nothing else comes close. With that said you can go out and get a .243 like everybody else does.
