I'm a newbie here (but not to marriage and partnership - 27 years as of March 4th). I have to agree with Erik, Moosie ( damn, Moosie I'll be laughing about that print ad for WEEKS! ), and others. Buy her the ring - not to keep up with her gold-digging girlfriend(who's probably got Delw's gift idea as well) - but because she's worth it in your eyes and it pleases you to make her happy.
