why the code name

probably done before, but always curious what the reason for the code name

Belshawelk - Belshaw is the creek through my property, and it has elk ( my favorite species to hunt)

1978. Local Mt guys said " Hank has a hankering to go elk hunting", so I got a OTC tag and we went.
As we were setting up camp a 5x5 ran into the camp. I shot it @ 50 yards with my 30-30 Win.
