We always have turkey and ham for Thanksgiving. Occasionally a prime rib for Christmas next to the ham.
In reality there's so many delicious side dishes nobody would complain if we forgot the meat altogether.

I have to agree about watching the same nfl teams every year.

My favorites at Thanksgiving:
Ham (turkey sucks, although I am in charge of smoking a turkey tonight… go figure)
Hash brown casserole (made by my wife)
Homemade macaroni and cheese (made by my wife)
Fried okra
Rolls
Depends on who made the mashed potatoes as they can be bland and dry, or flavorful and moist

I’ll eat green beans to have something green on my plate

Pumpkin pie sucks. I don’t even have to have dessert at Thanksgiving, especially if the best choice is pumpkin pie
