Whitetail Buck of a Lifetime

I thought it would be cool to see a similar thread for whitetails. My best, 171".

I’m a crummy whitetail hunter, here’s my best that’s from last fall. I measured him at 138. I’ve missed a couple and seen a number of bigger bucks in the past while hunting but just couldn’t get things to work out

Just recently started chasing mountain whitetail. Id really like to find a mature one but I don’t think the tape will ever reflect what that animal truly is. That’s the goal though I messed it up bad on one last year.

I think you could add an extra couple categories at the end. 171-180, 181-190 and 190+. Maybe even 191-200 and a 200"+.

Lot of difference between a 174" and a 194".

Here’s my best ever. 151” with the help of a lot of little extra points.

Maybe I should ask alotalotaBS to post the scores for me, but I think these are my top 3. Pretty safe to say in the 140-150+ range.

Score aside, this buck is one of my favorites, just an awesome buck where I hunt them. Living 10 years in that country is no joke between predators, winters, no ag fields, and hunting pressure.

Agreed. Poll has been updated. However, I was unable to change the 171"+ selection (sent a request to one of the mods). Thanks for the input!

Dinks a-plenty for me, probably sub 120". I've never really given it the effort i have to western hunts, mostly been a social thing.

I came up with 147". Brother came up with 145"

This one grossed in the mid-170s and netted 168 4/8”. The sticker on the right G3 dashed my hopes of a “Booner.”

140" is where two of mine are right at. Lower left one is heavy mass. Might have added a decent amount if he didn't break a brow tine and one extra point on the right side. Oh well, so is life

When I was like 16 my dad let me skip school one day and shot this one on a really heavily-pressured piece of land.

I taped him at a shade over 150”, with deductions I think it was just under 150”.
