With all the hunting seasons over and depressed not to draw any tags out west..... I've turned to other things to keep me busy. I've decided to tile my barn. A good close-out deal came about and I jumped on the deal. This is the "floating tile" that snaps together. A friend who just quit the tiling business was nice enough to square off the barn floor (the beam a peg barn built around 1910 is only about 1/2 inch off of square. Pretty amazing for 33 feet x 60 feet). He also lent me his wet saw. Only 600 square feet to go!!

Looking good Marty, not so much jryoung. Good luck to both of you on finishing.

WOW! Very impressive! The floor is looking great! Nice garden to boot!

The actual fire damage is mostly in the attic but the smoke damage was extensive and to boot there is asbestos in the insulation, drywall and mud....so its pretty much a full gut of the house.

Most importantly though was that no one was hurt and nothing irreplaceable was lost. So at this point we are looking at it as the most inconvenient remodel ever.

Way to hijack pointingdog's thread jryoung.

Sorry about your house.
