I think you’ll be pleased with the Hammers. Finally wrapped up a long term project. Switched any of my rifles I would potentially hunt with to lead free, while also spreading out projectile weights so I have a solution for any pursuit. I’m also wrapping up load development for a 7mag for a friend.

I am, have been for several years now. All I did was fully work out a couple new cartridges; went from 260 to 260ai, added 33 Nosler to the stable, and switched the 30-06 to a 138hht (it was a 160 Accubond previously), while dropping the 300wsm from the 162ah that I ran out of to the 154hht. The 33 already took my first bull this year, and the 300wm dropped a young hunter's first pronghorn this summer. We've killed 3 muleys, 3 pronghorn, and 3 elk with Hammers so far, plus a bunch of unlucky coyotes.I think you’ll be pleased with the Hammers.
What speed are you seeing with the 30-06? Presuming Varget burn rate?I am, have been for several years now. Its a pretty short barrel, sits right at 3000 with RL16. Part of this project was to switch to temp stable powders too, so I was really happy with that velocity/powder combo and the place that a 138 could fill in my spectrum of cartridges. It shoots really well, and has one of the most interesting suppressed sounds I've ever heard. What speed are you seeing with the 30-06? Presuming Varget burn rate?
