I got all my cold weather armor on this morning and walked down the stairs. Opened the front door to find the huge willow in front of the house had split under the weight of the wet snow and ice.
Went back in and swapped cammies for Carharts and set to chainsawing. Now I've got about a cord of crap fireword for a day of sawing and brush work. I'm getting too old for this. I just came in and Mrs45 asked if I was going to head out to my tree stand until dark. My answer being the "pffft" of an imperial IPA cap coming off. Boots off, feet up

First time in a long time I can say, the fact that an archery bull is in the freezer already made my decision that much easier to stay home?

We really don’t suffer from poor decisions on opening day, rather we shine in the stupid mistake category. My buddy Dan forgot to have a cartridge in his chamber!

Ive never totally appreciated true silence until I heard a firing pin drop on an empty chamber or a boat motor running out of gas.

I hate mowing grass, but enjoy moving snow into big piles. Got a lot of practice doing the snow moving gig this morning.
