There were maybe three people in the whole country who tuned in because they genuinely haven't already figured out who they are voting for. The rest tuned in for a circus and they got one. Glad I didn't turn it on.

The amount of things that would need to change in order to have policy and ideas actually drive the political discussion is monumental. As in, there is no way to alter what we got last night without fundamentally restructuring the way that we elect people and who is eligible for office. And of course, you'd actually have to have an educated and engaged populace instead of whatever we currently have.
