15 years ago, I found steal on a cabelas canvas wall tent at a garage sale. It was a couple of years old and had only been used a few times. Took it on a New Mexico mule deer hunt that year (2002), and it has been in storage ever since. Got it out today to set up and inspect because I plan to use it this season on a Wyoming Elk hunt. There are no visible rips or tears. It is dirty, but otherwise looks fine.

What if anything do I need to do to ensure it is still waterproofed?

Any other maintenance suggestions?

I'll post a picture once it is set up.

Thanks!

Denver Tent recommended that I use "Canvak" to re-waterproof a 1970's era canvas tent that we still have from when I was a kid. Sounds like you paint it on and let it dry. Haven't tried it yet because I have to figure out a new zipper first but I'm hoping to rehabilitate that old tent this summer.
