Waiting for 2025 Colorado draw results

Wow. I thought some people were being over dramatic about the point creep thing for this year but I guess they were right. I had 11 deer points and my son had 12. Unit we wanted showed historically anything over 9 was a lock. Checked Go Hunt "predictive odds" and even that said anything over 10 would be a lock. So like a dum ass I didn't even bother applying as a party. He got it and I didn't. Now I'm gonna have to turn his tag in and try again next year.
If you would have applied as a party with him neither of you would have drawn.
Like others have stated why not take your son on a great adventure and use the time to learn the area and find him a nice buck. Next year you can go back and hunt it all over again with him by your side. Sometimes having just one tag makes it a less stressful hunt and easier to play guide!

What an absurd reaction. The best thing a dad or a friend can do with similar point levels like y’all is each one carry a tag one year and help the other the other year. Two fun hunts and the guy who has tag the second year goes in with a real advantage of experience. Trying to whack two deer same year with our short colo seasons is often a mistake and a stressful effort unless any forkie is sufficient.

You are behind in points. No guarantee, or data to disprove till recap is posted, you will not be behind next year and sink the two of you when you decide to “not be a dum ass” in your words and put in as a party so both y’all will be sitting at home instead of hunting.

Dad, take the kid hunting and focus on him and his success.

I remember working overnight security back in 2017-2018 and figuring out what all my friends/family drew before they woke up. Can't remember exactly how it worked but I think it was last name+Birthday, I'm sure one of you guys know what it was. Good times.

Entering the 3rd day of this wearying circus, is there anyone who doesn’t think the way Colorado does their draw results is ridiculous?
I mean the only real benefit is that I got paid for a full week at work and actually worked 25 hours. While the rest of the time was looking on my phone refreshing this thread and CPW.

25 hours? Stop bragging about being an over achiever. I run an automated cnc cell, this thing could have been farting bubbles and I wouldn't have noticed.

Wow. Got an email yesterday that went to spam telling me to check my landowner account. I applied for archery thinking I could possibly pair it up with a bear tag if I drew but the chances were not very good. Last year 3 people drew with 1 point out of 20 that applied. Well I drew it. I guess I need to buy a bow and start practicing.
