About to board a plane to Vegas with the wife for a weekend of fun. Gonna shoot some machine guns, go to the mob museum, and the Blake Shelton concert. Any recommendations on something to do or places to visit? Will be staying at Ceasars palace and will be using a cab/Uber to get around so nothing to far out.

Went to swat training in Vegas for about 10 years in a row. Damn near starved to death using my per dieum shooting craps. Great training none the less.
I was issued an MP-5 but nothing like going out and running a 50 cal. Have fun.

Hard to go wrong with just about any of the shows. The Cirque du Soliel ones are fantastic.

Idk what kind of gambler you are, but I hate losing any real money. I also like free drinks. What I’ve found works best for me is sitting at the video poker machines at the bars on the floor, pop $30ish bucks in (enough so the drinks are free), play ¢25 poker or blackjack while the bartender get your drink, then cash out and bounce. Generally I break even over the course of a weekend doing this.

Lmk if you need the super-secret password to get into the speakeasy in the basement of the mob museum 😝.

My favorite thing to do in Vegas is go to the Grand Canyon.

If you want a more reasonable steak off the strip, check out Primal. It’s a bit of a hokey Game of Thrones theme, but the food is good and about half the price of the nicer steak places on the strip.

If you like thrill rides, the stuff at Stratosphere is pretty exhilarating. Very north end of the strip, but the monorail terminates pretty close to it.

Yeah you should gamble a little if you’re there and craps is a game worth learning
When the table is winning, funniest place in the casino. I’ve paid for a Vegas trip one night hitting it good. I was stuffing $100 chips in my wife’s purse as my pile grew.

I have also had a day where we arrive and she went to the bathroom while I went to the table. She came out of the restroom to me waiting because I lost my budget money almost immediately.

We go to Vegas every year for the The Vegas Shoot archery (since 2010). We have done all the touristy things and checked out some cool places if you have never been out there...most require a car to get around though (Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam etc). Some of our favorite restaurants...Lowry's Prime Rib, Herbs & Rye steakhouse, Casa Di Amore (not near the strip but awesome old school Vegas vibe and awesome Italian food), Mon Ami Gabi in Paris (sit outside great people watching on the strip and right across from Bellagio fountains).
Have a great trip!

My wife's favorite place by far is Joe's Stone Crab; a friend just got back and she loves Hell's Kitchen (Gordon Ramsey), particularly the Beef Wellington. She won $2K playing $20 slots at Bellagio too btw.

Good luck!

We're going to Henderson next month( March) and hope never to make it to Vegas.
Planning a few coyote calling trips and hit the big dry lake and dam. Red rock and gust driving around in the desert.

Din Tai Fung is my favorite Vegas restaurant.

Absinthe is a great variety and crude adult comedy show.

A few years ago we drove supercars - It was cool but I am not that into cars and don't need to do it again. My one friend loves it and has gone multiple times. Doing the ride along with the pro driver was more fun than driving for me.

next week we're going to catch the last two knights games before the olympic break! Hope they get the Goalie situation straightened out before then! I'm sick of watching Hill give up goals a mannequin could stop.
To make wife happy, we're going to feed sharks at the Mandalay, and we're going to to the Universal Horror Unleashed - it's apparently just a huge haunted house.
