Truck stolen, feelin down

Curious if old school steering wheel lock like The Club would be enough deterrent for dirt bags to just move on to the next opportunity? Time to steal is always a deterrent. Thoughts?

My daughter got her SUV stolen. A present we bought her for graduating. All of our cars have apple air tags hidden in them. The car was stolen from San Diego and taken across the border. We could track the car the whole time but it was in Mexico. Thankfully we made it past the 30 days and insurance had to pay me off. Actually had to pay me more than what I paid because its the value off where its stolen not bought. We bought it new in Oregon and car values are higher in CA. Basically drove it for 18 months for free. Plus homeowners insurance pays for possessions inside car at time of theft. Had a lot of expensive stuff in it.

The air tag. Up until a few months ago we could still see that car, back in the US. Insurance recovered it but after the payoff deadline. They then auction them off.

I miss my 82 Chevy long bed, but man did it drive like shit compared to a modern truck. I’ve had a lot trucks I loved. My ZR2 was an off road titan, and could slink up crazy tight stuff a long bed would never touch. When we upped trailer size I needed to up truck size. She sure was fun to drive though. I drove it like I stole it pretty routinely. IMG_0578.jpeg
