What the hell are these things?
I snowshoed in and saw 8 yotes traveling together. I waited until they dropped into a drainage. It took me about 20 minutes to get over there. I crawled to the rim and saw two in the bottom. Pulled out the rangefinder....377yds. One saw me move and started heading out, the other trotted a few steps and then stopped just a second too long.
This put the first yote in overdrive and I knew it would be a waste to take a running shot at him. I sat tight and a couple seconds later another yote tore out of the creek. He was not sure where the bang came from at stopped at about 400. Not as good as shot as the first one, so had to put a second one in him.
I don't think it got about zero today, but it was better than sitting on the couch.
