PEAX Equipment

Todays the big day ! Surgery ....

Well it never ends . The nerve block started wearing off so I started taking the oxycontins they gave me , 1/2 at a time .
Guess who is allergic to OxyContin ? This guy. After three the dry heaves stuart , for hours .
Then the next day my left shoulder starts hurting , the non surgery one . Call the surgeon , off to the ER for a EKG .
No heart attack , but they kept me for observation . Just got out ...but my shoulder feels great , the one they fixed .
I share your aversion to Oxy. Consider it a blessing. Ibruprofen is my friend!

Hang in there ... 'hopin for all your joints being better.

Ditto SA's comment. It's a good body aversion to have - oxy is not a good drug to take on a continuous basis... narcotics are necessary for some settings though, if it can be avoided, that is definitely one to avoid.

Wish you the best with your recovery. Better to have concerns checked then to leave it hanging only to haunt you later.
