Well, today Travo graduated Northwood High School. Man, where did those years go???? He is real excited, earlier today he got his Boating Certificate, so he can spend the summer Skiing and Fishing. He will be working at my office during the summer and while he goes to College. A big congrats to all of the other HTers that have Kids graduating either High School or College. John:D

John:

Congrats to your son. Hope he enjoys college.

My son graduates on June 1. Since he is our only child, things will be a lot different around here, once he heads out in August.

Big kudos to you and your Son... I was just loggin on to say TODAY IS GOOD because it was the last day of soccer (4 games today and a soccer party at my house) :D :D BOOOYAHHHH !!! 3 freed up days of the week. That just opened my schedule by 10 fold . I might start 3 new hobbies :D !!!!!!

.....MAn I fried my ASS off though today in the sun. Besides almost punching out another coach when he opened his mouth too many times today, t'was a good season besides that ;)

Dstud, MY oldest graduates 5th grade. I'll have some pictures up in about 3 weeks. I had the Newspaper email me on his date, there will be a little spread in there on him....

Congrats to your son, John. I'll bet he's walking around with a big, stupid grin on his face. ;) I can still remember how good it felt to walk away from HS. I'll bet he won't believe it now, but there will be days he wishes he was back there.

Congrats to you and your son!!!!! Mine will be leaving the 8th grade going to high school. Man time flies.

Congratulations to all.We had our graduation party today and the graduation will be tomorrow at the high school. My son has gotten in 2 days of work at his summer job and all ready does not like it.Hope that makes him give it his all at college this fall.Good luck to all the graduates.

Congrats to your son DStud. Raise the bar & watch him jump...life is good my friend.

Man those years go fast! don't they. congratulations John.

My youngest son Jake will finish up 10th grade next Friday He has 2 more years at a school 3 hrs drive each way but I make as many games , and functions as I can. Savor these years guys , It goes so fast.

Thanks to all and Congrats to those moving on. Travo will be attending a Community College named Bossier Community College to get his feet wet so to speak. Then he will have his choice of Larger Colleges if he wishes. He already has some Dual Credit hours towards College and a Scholarship from the State for keeping his grade point up, that should pay for his tuition. He also wants to continue his baseball playing.
The Graduation went great and then we went to a Group gathering at a local Seafood Place. After that we went to Project Graduation, let me tell ya'll what we have been doing the last year. Project Graduation is a group of parents who work various functions to raise money, working concessions at concerts and sporting events. We then take that money and buy Laptops and tons of other stuff a graduate needs for college.
On the night of Graduation we have the Graduates show up at a Hall to be locked in starting at 11:00 and they cannot leave until 5:30 the next morning. This allows them a chance at prizes and money...and keeps them off the road on one of the most dangerous nights of a graduates lives. We had Booths set up where they played games for money and we had tons of great food in the cafeteria. At 2:00 we had a Hypmotist (SP?) do a 2 hour show. My goodness, I would never have believed he could do the stuff he did, Travis was told that when he was introduced he would be Micheal Jackson! Travo was introduced and started the Moonwalk and all those hand moves...this from a Redneck teenager!! Anyway we got out of there @ 5:30 this morning. I feel the same way I do when I do an allnight drive though from Colorado to NW Louisiana after an Elk Hunt!!! I think Travo came home with some prizes and $400.00 from Project Graduation and we had 74 kids there. We also played Fear Factor, some kids almost puked!!
To those parents with kids coming up a Project Graduation is a great send off to kids who have plans for College and it shows how much everyone, parents included are all in this for them. I Think we raised and geve away over $29,000 last night. John....I am going to lay down now!!!
