Last year in Kansas on ML hunt I had been hunting 6 days and had seen a few shooters but nothing I wanted. On the morning of day six a mature 10 point walked out at about 30 yards. In the morning light he looked beautiful... I thought to myself you will yield about 75 lbs of wonderful meat but if I pass you will have the opportunity in a few weeks to pass on those genes to the next generation. I had a few tears in my eyes as I lowered my gun......that will be my last hunt. My health has declined and thus my last will be one of my favorites.
