Both boys had there tonsils out. First one cost us about $2,500 to $3,000 iirc. In the meantime we switched to a different plan second boys tonsils same surgeon same everything. $100 co pay. Wife and I both looked at each other like that can't be right. Should've switched plans years ago. We use a plan where whoever you see has to be in network and I think that scares a lot of people off. We've had zero issues with that aspect. No more deductible just a co-pay. Saves us thousands every year.My ankle replacement was $225,000. Surgeon’s office called insurance company weeks before the surgery so they could give me an “out of pocket” estimate. Fortunately, the insurance company came back with “it’s all covered except for $25 co-pay”. A month after the surgery, I got a notice from the insurance company saying they were denying the claim because it utilized 3-D printing which they considered to be experimental. Quick call to the surgeon’s office and they got it all resolved with BCBS.
Bingo! Called the insurance co. and this was the problem. Confirmed with them that if a different coding was provided then it would be covered. Called the billing department for the hospital and explained things and they said they would send it for a review because of my initial symptoms for the visit and go from there. Everything is on hold until they make a decision. Sounds good for now! Fingers crossed. It may be as simple as the doctor needing to resubmit with a different code. My wife has had intestinal disease for years and my son was in a bad accident a few years ago. We have received many bills just like you did. A phone call to the doctor and sometimes to the insurance company and it was taken care of once resubmitted. Don’t worry about it, it will work out.

Felt fine once we got back to town but still started breathing harder just by doing simple things, even after getting home. It's gotten better over time so the idea of some kind of viral infection makes sense.
Oh, I enjoyed my time out there. You saw firsthand that I had to stop here and there to catch up with air but I kept going. What happened in Lander was way beyond that. The gale force winds didn't help the situation any. Even if I was fine I don't think shooting was even possible!Good to hear the update, Dave. Don't beat yourself up over the ups and downs of the elk hunt. Elk hunting is hard. Mountains are tough. And it's just tougher when you aren't 100%. I still had a heck of a time hanging out with you and the fellas and getting to know some new country. I would do it again.
At least have to take the grand daughter to go see some sight out there, just maybe not in the winter.Oh, I enjoyed my time out there. I'll see what happens with my tests and weight loss. Maybe later I'll reconsider a trip. But the way things are changing out west this might have been the last shot. Like I said before, I'm good with it.
I don’t think it’s the “last shot “ there’s tons of elk opportunities especially with cow tags and the group here will come up with something when and if your up to it again and if it was the last shot , you sound like your good and you had a great time . Guess what I’m saying is don’t be down at all about it . The reading material you have everyone was unbelievable. Kudos to you Dave . Take careOh, I enjoyed my time out there.
