The Great HT 2026 weigh in.

I’ve been avoiding this thread. But the accountability will probably be good for me. I’ve been overweight my whole life. Decided I’d like to get to 195 by September this year. Last time I was under 200 was 7th grade.

I’ve been lifting weights five days a week. Going to start mixing in cardio two days/weights three days. I’m on week two of no sugar. That makes a big difference. Going to focus on protein and fiber dense meals and cut out snacking.

I’ll post a scale weight to this thread once a month, and will change my username to Fat Piece of Shit if I don’t meet my goal by September.

This is where I was at this morning:

Been taking an Internet/HT break for quite a while now, but thought I’d check back in. I reached the low 180s this June and have been hovering around 185 since. Lots of rucking, weight lifting, and not stuff the ever-living hell out of myself at every meal has been the ticket. Lost a total of about 45 lbs. Feels pretty good. This was this morning:

Started at 180, dropped 20.0% to capriciously beat my coworkers in a weight loss competition by March.

I have maintained a good diet since. I eat whenever I want, as much as I want, but not whatever I want. Sticking to a max 10% or less of daily calories of refined carbs and seed oils. Switched to 100% avocado mayo from Sam’s Club. My set point is 170. Getting my reps in hunting squirrels, turkey, and deer.

Congrats to all the HT “losers”!

Curious on how any of these turned out.
It's not over until its over.
I've had challenges, for sure. 244 today. When I approached the 240 mark I got stuck. I seem to back on track.
I've been able to get some walks in and that has gotten me back on the downward trend.

My original goal was to be 230 by August first. I missed that, but I will keep pushing to hold this weight through the holidays. I still could lose 30 lbs this years and that would be my goal for 2027. Another 30 pounds.

I would to land around 190 -200 and maintain.
