The Great HT 2026 weigh in.

Weight yourself first thing in the morning, always 2 or 3 lbs lighter in the morning.
When I wrestled 20 years ago we tried many many different tricks to see how you lost the most weight in your sleep. A lot of guys on our team believed sleeping with the window open increased your metabolism at night as your body burnt more to keep warm. I sleep with the window open 90 % of the time to this day and I don’t find any difference in how much weight I lose at night. It’s almost always 2 lbs on the dot for me. Last night I weighed 211.8 at 10 pm. When I woke up this morning it was 209.8.

I’m somewhere in the 180’s and want to be down around 170 by next September. I’ve done really good at lifting but no where near enough cardio. Need to do a way better job at hiking local trails this spring and summer with a heavy pack

Don’t even bring up wrestling… that makes me feel like a tub. I wrestled at 145- that version of me would kick current 184lb me’s ass with ease😞😜
152 my freshmen year of high school, 160 sophomore and junior year, 171 senior year, 174 and 184 in college. Looking back, i never had any major problems making weight but if I’d had better control of my diet versus eating crap for breakfast lunch and dinner it would have been a lot better.

I stepped on the scale on Dec 23 for my fibula surgery at 256. So I'm going to break this down into manageable chunks. I'll have some lag time as i'll have 12 weeks of recovery to do but my hope is that my PT will lead into a greater conditioning commitment.

So goal 1: 250 by February 1

Goal 2 : 245 by March 1

Goal 3 : 240 by April 1

Goal 4 : 235 by May 1

Goal 5 : 230 by June 1
