It's on.
Meeting the contractor today. 40x60x16 pole building with two 12' lean-tos.
I will do the wiring and plumbing as well as build the stick build apartment inside.
After the deposit is dropped there is no turning back.

Woke up this morning thinking about my childhood memories of my dad and his 5 brothers teaming up to build my grandfather his dream shop. He was about the same age as I am now and getting ready to retire, as I hope I am.
From the time we could walk, my cousin Kemit and I were at Grandad's knee in his old fire trap work shed. He taught us everything we needed to have a life fixing mechanical things. Kemit in the automotive world, me in IT.
That rickety shed was retired when Grandpa Clyde got his dream shop. Cinder block and lumber milled onsite. It is still standing on the property now owned by my aunt. She is the last of that generation now.
Kemit was one of Honda USA's top gun mechanics. I became the guy who could watch your "unfixable" high volume laser printer for a while and tell you what was wrong with it. I earned a lot of OT and air miles doing it. My company thought I was savant, but I really just used what grandpa thought me about how machines work.
Sitting on the deck drinking coffee and thinking about all this circle of life stuff.
I will be drinking coffee in the new shop by Christmas if all goes well.
