Talley torque spec for reciever screws???

I recently purchesed a Browning hells canyon long range in 7mm rem mag along with a Leopold Vx5 3x15-44 with CDS. This will sit atop a set of Talley lightweight rings. The Talley packaging gave specifications on the top ring torque specs but nothing for the bases. I don't see anything on Brownings website either with any kind of reciever torque specs. Was wondering if anyone had any advice in this department. My first time mounting my own scope. I gave the guys a call down at the local sportsman's to ask about there scope mounting process and wasn't very impressed. Figured I better learn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Base screw torque specs depend on the receiver. 20 in-lbs is what I tighten to on Rem700 receivers, with a drop of blue locktite.

Call Talley , they will set you right.
I believe my 700 was 20lbs on base & 22 on caps....but I'd have to go look ,or call Talley.

I agree, I think you should call them. If I remember correctly, after doing some research I set my bases at 25 and rings at 18 for magnums.

Sjackson, I'm guessing even if this is your first scope mounting job and most of the guys at the sporting goods counter have done several, your work will be better. I've seen some very poor mounting jobs. If you're not familiar with the process a YouTube video may help. Be sure to degrease everything. The screws, bases and especially the mounting holes. A drop of blue loctite is what I use and the same poundage as stated above.
