that is my guess. I'm in the process of putting together a .458 Socom as we speak. ( legal deer rifle here in Indiana) My father thinks I've lost it. . .if they made it legal to kill deer with a spear next year, guess what. . .Id give it a try!

RJ- Don't know how far along you are in your build, but have you looked at the 358 WSSM upper by Dtech! That would make a very fine Hoosier 'hose' gun!

Ill check it out, thanks 1. Ive been doing some serious comparisons and getting the pricing. I thought a possible .450 Bushmaster or the .50 Beowulf. . .but I like the .45 caliber of the Socom and the ballistics are similar. . .not 100% sure yet.

She is a Remington R15, 24" VTR barrel in a .223. Not to impressed with the trigger. Anyone have a recommendation?
