Very common where I grew up in SE MT. Good winter browse for mule deer. I like to check in and around it for sheds.

Is that Staghorn sumac?
Stuff back East was poison sumac.

Haven't heard the word sumac for damn near 50 years. Back East that stuff would take over a field in one summer if allowed.

Love pasque flowers. One of my favorite spots to turkey hunt has a hillside that’s probably 90% pasque flowers right now. Hoping they’re still popping when I get there Thursday.

Pic is from a few days ago of my brother in law. The gun was his dad’s first one, an Ithaca .410.. it’s much older than either one of us, probably @ 50 yrs.
He’s killed a handful of turkeys with it now

I recognize that gun. Ithica m66 super single. My first real gun was that gun in 20 gauge. Got it when I was eleven and I’m 66 now.
Hunted deer with it for a couple years with pumpkin balls.of course I still have it.
