We deep ripped the top of our dam today and track walked it getting rid of the damn ground squirrels. They burrow into the dams and when the water level rises the dam blows out. Around 3 acres of water up to 25' deep makes a big mess when they cut loose.

Horse training day, getting two young horses ready for packing meat next year. Next time I will definitely cut the lower legs off before loading.

Sausage to gravy ratio looks spot on! Much different than what you’d get in any restaurant.

It's not high on my list, but I don't dislike it.
Pretty certain the Montana version lacks the imagination given the meal in other regions.

Montana food, in general, lacks flavor compared to the south. Great food is the thing I miss most about home.

Best fried chicken i ever had was a Mississippi recipe. Haven't had grits in decades.
