Every year we do a multi-family camping trip we refer to as Half-Patty’s - a celebration of the halfway point to St. Patrick’s Day.


Everyone must where green, and every meal must have an Irish influence. Copious amounts of Guinness and Jameson are inherent to the state of affairs. This morning I made corned beef eggs benedict for 20 people with an existential hangover in a rainstorm, and it turned out alright.

Driving over to the folks place this morning, came across this scene , what happens at night when we’re asleep, called it in to the authorities and said bring a tow truck, assuming it’s a stolen joy ride !

Sunday Afternoon Roosevelt Hunt ! We just hit the woods , I’ll update later if we get some good pictures or who knows We got 4 and a half hours


we found a bull with two cows and a calf , The guys got to 40 yards and needed him to clear 5 ft of brush , the lone one cow that was above the bull saw the guys they bumped into each other at 15 yds but that was their only approach , she bolted past the bull and he gone ! dandy five point, My crappy pictures don’t do that but justice




And now for some highlights from the hike in the Roosevelt Kingdom






Even though that bull was seconds from being shot , it was a great hunt and a good afternoon on the mountain with friends, I’ll remember this hunt for years to come. And now for some after hours refreshments
